NCEAC Core Committees

NCEAC Core Committees and Their Functions

To ensure effective governance, academic quality, and alignment with industry standards, NCEAC has constituted the following committees, each responsible for specific functional areas:

  1. Accreditation Process Review Committee

    Reviews and enhances the accreditation process to ensure it remains efficient, transparent, and aligned with international best practices.

  2. Accreditation Sub-Committee

    Supports the main accreditation process by reviewing individual cases, conducting preliminary assessments, and facilitating decision-making.

  3. Accreditation Standards Committee

    Evaluates the accreditation reports of BS-level computing degree programs and determines the appropriate accreditation category (e.g., W,X,Y,Z) in accordance with NCEAC’s prescribed criteria and standards.

  4. Curriculum Review Committee

    Evaluates and recommends updates to the computing curricula, ensuring they reflect current academic developments and industry requirements.

  5. Admission Eligibility Committee

    Defines and reviews the criteria for student admissions into accredited computing programs to maintain consistency and quality across institutions.

  6. Scope Change Committee

    Handles the evaluation of proposed changes in the scope of computing degree programs, including revisions in nomenclature, structure, or credit hours.

  7. Student & Faculty Quality Enhancement Committee

    Works on initiatives to improve the quality of students and faculty by establishing benchmarks, supporting development programs, and monitoring academic performance.

  8. Industry-Relevant Training Initiatives Committee

    Plans and executes training workshops and programs aimed at aligning faculty and student skills with evolving industry needs and technologies.

  9. Finance Committee

    Manages financial planning, budgeting, and expenditures to support NCEAC’s operations and ensure responsible resource utilization.

  10. Human Resources (HR) Committee

    Oversees staff recruitment, performance evaluation, and professional development policies to ensure an effective and motivated workforce.
